Happy Halloween!

What a busy Halloween! First, we brought our little monkey to see great grandma...

then we went to see Baba and Zada...

then we visited Grampy (three generations of Scott men!)...

and we finished the night with Auntie Heather, Uncle Joe, Jacob, and Jillian!

It was a busy Halloween! Mommy and Daddy are tired and Eli is passed out. He was up two hours past his bedtime! I am crossing my fingers he sleeps through the night. He has absolutely no fear - nothing scared him from people in masks to scary noises to hanging spiders. How is he my kid? I was terrified of all that stuff!

But my favorite pictures of the night are not even of Eli in costume. He crawled and walked all over Grampy's house, trying to get into trouble...

But with this face, he can get away with anything!

Rings and Things

We were in the play yard tonight and Eli finally got that he can stack the rings, not just tear them off the post and throw them...every time I pick them up...every single time, like it bothers him that they are neatly stacked. Is he too young to diagnose as OCD?

He also walked across the play yard tonight. He wanted the camera in Momma's hands! I keep promising Dave I will stop yelling at him to watch every time he takes a step. Eventually, the excitement of that wears off, right?

Look at those thighs - that is only cute for so long...

We were playing around and he just laid down in my lap and stretched out. I looked down and took a pic - lounging on Momma and so happy about it! All that walking is hard work! And look, that elusive camera is right there!

11 Months Old!

Eli is 11 months old today! I am in shock that we are about to have a one year old...wasn't he just born? He is already able to take a few steps at a time, eat almost all table food, share his binky with Reggie, and put up such a fight for diaper changes that it takes basically two people to change him sometimes! He is S-T-R-O-N-G!

We went to the Halloween parade for a little bit yesterday. Eli did not fuss at the drums or scary floats. Reggie, on the other hand, was thoroughly spooked, but he did great!

Eli's First Hayride and Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday, we went on a hayride and picked out a pumpkin. It was Eli's and Mommy's first hayride and pumpkin patch experience (I know...my parents are NOT outdoor people, so yes, this was my first hayride and pumpkin patch). I loved him in his little winter coat, hat, and mittens...it was soooooo cold! Clearly, I put all my efforts into making sure Eli had a matching outfit...

Then, he had his first kiss...corrupted by an older woman!

He hung out with Mike for a little bit - Mommy needed a break - that kid is HEAVY!

Look at my little pumpkin!

Promptly after this picture was taken, Eli leaned forward and tried to shove the entire stem of the pumpkin in his mouth. That's my boy!

Snuggles!

It is COLD in our house - and the cold temps outside are closer to late November temps than October!

We put Eli in his fleece pajamas and I didn't want to put him down he was so warm and snuggly (and also, unfortunately, not very tired). Look how cute he is in his 18 MONTH SIZED PAJAMAS! Will this kid ever stop growing???

Guy Time

Daddy and Eli donned their Patriots jerseys for last Sunday's game. Unfortunately, it did not bring the Patriots much luck, but it seemed to help the Broncos...

Baby Steps - Video Evidence

Here is the video of Eli walking. We didn't catch the first steps on video. Then we took a video, but my ridiculously excited reaction was deemed too embarrassing for posting online. What followed was about 8 attempts to get him to walk while the camera was filming.

Here is the final result with my toned down reaction. This was quite a feat as all I wanted to do was yell "HE TOOK A STEP! HE TOOK A STEP!" I think I scared him after his actual first step with my screaming...

Baby Steps

Eli took his first steps tonight! Our big boy is changing so fast! He was in the play yard with Mommy and he let go of the side and took a few steps over to me.

Mommy and Daddy are working on a video re-enactment as my reaction in the first video is too ridiculous to post here. Sometimes, its about me.
